Born August 1967 in China’s Heilongjiang Province, Peng Ye Zhang moved to Beijing’s Central Academy of Fine Arts to perfect his unique style of painting in the experimental arts department. His trademark has been established as mixing the familiar components of the modern world with visuals of nature as well as unconventionally interacting with their modern environment; such as the modern cyclist flying over a lotus garden alongside a snowy owl as well as the juxtaposition of the most essential mode of travel, the bicycle, flying into a new BMW on a farm land. He has since become a member of the Chinese Artists Association and continues painting and living in Beijing with a remarkable participation in over eighty art exhibitions under his belt.
